Amaltal sentencing

Peter Dawson appeared at the sentencing of Amaltal Fishing Company Limited in a matter where the skipper of an Amaltal fishing vessel lost situational awareness and trawled briefly in a marine reserve.

The court recognised that this was an inadvertent error on the part of the skipper, but held Amaltal to be vicariously liable for the actions of the skipper.
