BIMCO to publish new ‘floating hotel’ contract and new editions of tug and barge contracts

BIMCO, the international shipping association that provides information and advice, will soon publish its new ASVTIME contract, a time charter party for accommodation support vessels.  The contract has been developed in consultation with stakeholders experienced with the special features of accommodation support vessels (ASVs) engaged in the offshore oil and gas and renewables sectors.

BIMCO states that this contract fills a gap in their suite of offshore contracts, even though the market for ASVTIME will be relatively small.

Also to be published are updates to TOWCON and TOWHIRE, the ocean towage contracts, and BARGEHIRE, the charter party for hiring unmanned barges.
